Leaving Naples ahead of Hurricane Irene, we headed for NYC to celebrate our anniversary with an overnight and the Broadway show ‘Jersey Boys’. We arrived just after the earthquake and just before the hurricane! After touring NYC, we battened down the hatches at the lake house and headed off to Minnesota (as planned) to help paint some rooms at Slider and Mary’s house. Once the painting was done, we headed west - the eastbound flights were backed up for several days due to the storm. Turns out Captain Slider was working a trip to San Diego last Monday - so we hopped on board his flight for a quick visit to see Craig and take a spin in his new '09 Volvo C30. Still waiting for flights to clear heading east, we departed San Diego to Salt Lake City to check out Park City. We’d never been there before and heard nice things about it. After a whirlwind tour of Park City, we returned to CT to head to Woodstock for an Elton John concert and to clean up the debris from Irene. What a week...Goodnight Irene!!
