We started with a walking tour of the UW campus. Stopped for lunch at a restaurant overlooking the waterfront where you rent kayaks on Lake Union. Spent the next few days exploring Pike's Place Market, Downtown, Belltown, Pioneer Square, Chinatown and Capitol Hill neighborhoods. For postcard views of the city we headed to Kerry Park in the Queen Anne neighborhood. Dinner at Salty's enroute to Alkai Beach with Kendall and Janice - and more fabulous views of the city from across the water. Paul & I toured the Boeing Factory and took the ferry over to Bainbridge Island for an afternoon while Craig toured Fremont and Ballard Locks and logged some time in the area coffee shops. Enroute to Portland, we stopped in Bellevue for lunch just to see the city. Seattle has it all: citylife, mountain views, beautiful evergreens and water views everywhere you look.
