We took a guided bicycle tour of the countryside outside the city of Hanoi where we crossed a river by boat, lunched at a local's home and wound up in a volleyball game with children. Another day we took a walking tour of Hanoi and saw the One Pillar Pagoda, Ho Chi Minh Museum & Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, the Hanoi Hilton and the historic hotel Metropole Hanoi where we lunched with Trang - an education major - who was our tour guide for the day.
