Aloha!

Major life changes for us this summer - the Freeman family lake house in CT has been sold after 44 years and Paul & I purchased a place in Upcountry on Maui.  We've been vacationing here for over 30 years and it keeps calling us back.  It's a dream come true!

As you can imagine, it's a logistical challenge to move to an island so far away.  I arrived here to an empty condo with only an air mattress for furniture - and then hit the ground running.  The first few nights we were reading by flashlight...but by weeks end, we had real furniture and a grill and invited the neighbors over for dinner!  We're very lucky to have good people for neighbors - it has made the transition so easy.  

We haven't had much time for exploring yet as we are still trying to settle in and bring in some creature comforts to our new place. We have enjoyed some hiking and Paul has fit in some mountain biking and outrigger canoe paddling.  He has his first paraglider lesson scheduled when he returns in a few weeks.

Just wanted to fill you in on our summer and let you know about our new adventure.
